Recently opened Pension Hurka is located in a protected area called "Jistebnicka Vrchovina", about 70 km south of Prague and 12 km north of the historical town Tabor. It lies in a very small village with only 34 houses, and the nearest town Jistebnice (for further information look at www.jistebnice.cz) is 2 km away. The pension is situated on a southern hill with a beautiful view at the southern bohemian landscape. There are leading signs along the road to Pension Hurka to make the orientation for our guests easier. There is a parking lot for six cars directly in front of the pension.
Pension offers six fully equipped (shower, toilet, TV) double bedrooms from which two of them (room number 1 and 6)can further be equipped with an extra bed if necessary. For families, there is the possibility to enter another double bedroom next door through a connected door (rooms 2-3, 4-5). Some rooms (2,3,and 4) have a terrace with a lovely view. All pension without barrier.
Pension Hurka does not provide for catering. All our guests have the possibility to use a well-equipped small kitchen (microwave, refrigerator, water-cooker, and a cooker). There are many lovely restaurants in the nearby town Tabor (12 km) or even Jistebnice (2km).
In Hurka village there is only a small pub where only beer and soft drinks are served.
Smoking is not allowed in pension.
If you wish to take your house pets with you, you should discuss it with us ahead of time in order not to interfere with the wishes of other guests.
In winter, one can enjoy a small skiing slope within only 5 minutes walk from the pension. It is only 250 meters long, but illuminated from 5 to 9pm. It is open daily all day long on the weekends and during school holidays. There is also a cross-country skiing route (for further information look at www.certovo-bremeno.cz). There are skating possibilities on a nearby lake Jordan (in Tabor), in case it is cold enough.
In summer one has the chance to use mapped biking routs as well as mapped routes for hiking. This area offers clean rural air and calm environment. For horseback riders, one can arrange a meeting with the local horse owner and enjoy the landscape from the back of a horse.
